I thought of this while unpacking my Christmas stuff this year because I can't bear to throw away some of the beautiful cards we get and so I thought I'd make them into a garland, and this works great for ALL occassions! Keep all those adorable Easter cards, or Valentine's Day, etc, string them up with coordinating ribbon and voila! you have a lovely decoration for that holiday for years to come that is as special as it is beautiful!
Supplies: String, Hole Punch, Scissors, Ribbon
1. Cut your string to about 9 feet, fold it in half and tie your first knot as shown above, leaving a little loop for hanging the card.
2. Take the end of one side of the string and fold it to the center knot/loop that you just made, and make another knot. Continue this until you have about 15 knots all spaced out evenly.
3. Hole punch your cards in the upper left corner.
4. Use a small 3"-4" piece of ribbon to tie the card to the string by threading it through the loop and there you have it! You can switch out cards as you receive prettier ones each year, or make a new garland!
As usual, if you don't want to make this, but love the idea, you can pick one up for only $1.95 in my shop
