FREE GIVEAWAY & Review | Personalized Step Stool, April 12th - 16th

Enter to WIN | Personalized Step Stool | Just post a comment!

REVIEW |  I was so excited to try this two step stool out when it arrived from LaffyDaffy!  The stool that we used to have would tip over if my kids weren't standing right in the middle and perfectly still, and when does that happen really?! So I was thrilled to find out that LaffyDaffy designs and builds their own stools that will not tip and are extremely sturdy!  Now my 1yr old, as well as my 3yr old can reach the sink with the two steps, and I feel very safe knowing that they are not going to tip and get badly hurt.  Not only is this stool very beautifully crafted and painted, but LaffyDaffy personalized it perfectly for me!  I sent them photos of my bathroom with red, sky blue, and soft lime green and they matched everything exactly, not to mention they added a Bible verse that I chose to the steps.  Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path".  I love these stools and would highly recommend them in every home!

BUY Check out LaffyDaffy's etsy store to make a purchase.  They are offering NurseryLove readers 10% off any purchase with Promo Code NurseryLove10 at checkout!  They also have some adorable little one step stoolsmessage boards &push pins, and growth charts that I love!

WIN | LaffyDaffy is going to be giving away one Two-Step Personalized Stool!  Enter to WIN just by posting a comment here! Must be shipped to an address in the lower 48 US because shipping an object of this size outside of the US is cost prohibitive.

Photography | Oh Baby!

Remember my lovely friend Brittney?  Well she had her beautiful baby Gwen a couple weeks ago, and I was lucky enough to take her first photos.  Precious.  I made this little headband with inspiration from my favorite baby photographer.  I also got to babysit Gwen for about an hour today.  Oh I just love babies!

Flowers

Okay, I know that this is unrelated to anything "Baby" but I just had to brag about these lovely flowers my wonderful Hubby picked for me on his morning run.  Aw!

Tuesday Tutorial | Holiday Card Hanger

I thought of this while unpacking my Christmas stuff this year because I can't bear to throw away some of the beautiful cards we get and so I thought I'd make them into a garland, and this works great for ALL occassions! Keep all those adorable Easter cards, or Valentine's Day, etc, string them up with coordinating ribbon and voila! you have a lovely decoration for that holiday for years to come that is as special as it is beautiful!

Supplies: String, Hole Punch, Scissors, Ribbon

1. Cut your string to about 9 feet, fold it in half and tie your first knot as shown above, leaving a little loop for hanging the card.
2. Take the end of one side of the string and fold it to the center knot/loop that you just made, and make another knot.  Continue this until you have about 15 knots all spaced out evenly.
3. Hole punch your cards in the upper left corner.
4. Use a small 3"-4" piece of ribbon to tie the card to the string by threading it through the loop and there you have it! You can switch out cards as you receive prettier ones each year, or make a new garland!

As usual, if you don't want to make this, but love the idea, you can pick one up for only $1.95 in my shop HERE.

FREE GIVEAWAY & Review | Snack Bags, April 5th - 9th

Enter to WIN | $10 Gift Certificate | Just post a comment!

REVIEW |  I got to review these lovely little snack bags for It's a Ten and I just LOVE them! I want more!! They are super convenient and such a great way to save money!  Instead of buying tons of plastic bags that get thrown away after every use, you just stick your snacks or sandwiches in these, then simply rinse and lay out to dry, or toss in the washer before next use!  Not only are they convenient, but these little bags are super trendy and very well made!  I love the idea of having snacks in a pretty bag that don't get crunched at the bottom of my purse or spill.  Great for dry snacks as well as fresh fruit or sandwiches since they are lined with water resistant ripstop nylon.  Buy lots... Trust me!!

BUY Check out It's a Ten's etsy store to make a purchase.  They are offering NurseryLove readers 15% Off any purchases of $15 or more (before shipping) with Promo Code 15OFF15NL at checkout!  They also have awesome little travel Crayon Holders that I love, Coasters, Key Fob Key Chains, Zipper Pouches, and I want one of  their Tea Wallets!

Projects | Travel Activity Book

We are planning a 30 hour road trip with our two young girls (3yr & 1yr), we have one seat that they will share, and needless to say, they are still working on the sharing thing.  So instead of buying duplicate toys, I thought I would just make some!  My youngest loves to play with little parts and put them into things, (ex: filling a plastic tub with buttons) so my Mom came up with a great idea, to have some ribbons with beads attached to a purse that she could dump and fill w/o making a total mess, LOVE IT!  So was born the travel activity book!  My oldest gets to color and spell while my youngest gets to dump and fill, both books are identical.

This was a bit time consuming to make two, so I don't think I'll be selling them in my etsy shop anytime soon.  I made these with random scraps leftover from other projects, I did actually *gasp* buy the beads new though.  Oh well, $4.99 for two fun activity books isn't bad.

Anyone have any travel tips for me? We'll need it!!
